Ingredients
  

Shrimp
  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined Tail on or off
Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs

Method
 

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. This helps them sear better.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the hot skillet in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, turning with tongs, until the shrimp are pink and opaque throughout.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the skillet immediately and serve.

Notes

You can add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the cooked shrimp just before serving for extra flavor.
