Ingredients

For the Lobster
  • 2 Lobster tails (about 6 oz each) thawed if frozen
For the Garlic Lemon Butter
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Black pepper

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small saucepan

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the lobster tails: Using kitchen shears, cut down the top center of each lobster tail shell, stopping before the tail fin. Gently spread the shell open to expose the meat. You can also butterfly the meat by carefully lifting it out and placing it on top of the shell, or leave it nestled inside.
  3. Place the prepared lobster tails on the baking sheet.
  4. Make the garlic lemon butter: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the fresh lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  6. Brush the garlic lemon butter generously over the exposed lobster meat. Spoon any remaining butter sauce over the tails.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
  8. Serve immediately, spooning extra garlic lemon butter sauce from the pan over the lobster.

Notes

You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter sauce for a little heat. Serve with your favorite side dishes like roasted asparagus or a fresh salad.
