Servings: 4 people
Course: Dinner, Lunch
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Shrimp
  • 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined Thawed if frozen
Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice Freshly squeezed preferred
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes Optional
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Pat the shrimp dry using paper towels. This helps them sear better.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the melted butter. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque throughout. Cooking time depends on the size of the shrimp.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the lemon juice.
  7. Stir in half of the chopped parsley.
  8. Divide the shrimp evenly among four meal prep containers. Sprinkle the remaining parsley over the top before sealing.

Notes

Store the prepared shrimp in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or a skillet until warmed through.
