Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
For the Sauce
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes (canned)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 Salt season to taste
  • 1 Pepper season to taste
For the Topping
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, torn into pieces
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp olive oil used to sauté the garlic

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Sauté minced garlic in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Simmer by adding crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper to the sautéed garlic. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange seasoned chicken breasts in the greased baking dish. Pour the tomato sauce evenly over the top.
  5. Top the dish with torn mozzarella pieces, spreading them evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
