Texas Roadhouse Style Grilled Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 6-8 ounces each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Method
 

  1. Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap. Pound them to an even thickness, about 3/4 inch thick.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to create the seasoning blend.
  3. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over both sides of the chicken.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the chicken for about 5 to 7 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.

Notes

You can serve this chicken plain or top it with melted butter or a light glaze for extra flavor.
