Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Finely chop the reserved mushroom stems.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped mushroom stems, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Stuff each mushroom cap generously with the filling mixture.
- Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
- Serve hot.
Notes
To make ahead, prepare the stuffed mushrooms up to the point of baking. Cover them tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Bake as directed, adding a few extra minutes if needed.
