Ingredients
  

For the Crunchy Base
  • 3 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup chopped pecans omit for nut-free option
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar use white sugar as substitute
  • 1/2 cup butter melted, can substitute with melted coconut oil
For the Creamy Dressing
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries can swap with other berries
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened, use light cream cheese if desired
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar consider honey or agave as alternatives
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure vanilla recommended
  • 8 oz Cool Whip can substitute with freshly whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Pour in the melted butter and mix thoroughly.
  3. Spread the pretzel mixture on the baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  4. While the crunch cools, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the Cool Whip to the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Fold in the sliced strawberries and half of the pretzel crunch into the creamy mixture.
  7. Transfer to a serving platter and top with the remaining pretzel crunch. Serve immediately.
