Starbucks Iced White Chocolate Mocha Copycat

This recipe shows you how to make a cold version of the Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha at home.

Ingredients
  

For the White Chocolate Sauce
  • 1/4 cup White chocolate chips Or chopped white chocolate bar
  • 1/4 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Milk Any kind
For the Drink
  • 1 shot Espresso Or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup Milk Your choice
  • 1 cup Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Mug or heatproof glass
  • Tall glass

Method
 

  1. Make the white chocolate sauce. Combine the white chocolate chips, heavy cream, and 2 tablespoons of milk in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir the mixture constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the sauce is smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the warm white chocolate sauce into the bottom of a tall glass. You can adjust this amount based on how sweet you like your drink.
  4. Add the shot of espresso (or strong coffee) to the glass with the sauce and stir briefly to combine.
  5. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the remaining 1/2 cup of milk over the ice.
  7. Stir everything together well before you drink it.

Notes

If you want a cold foam topping, whip a small amount of heavy cream with a teaspoon of powdered sugar until slightly thickened, and spoon it on top before serving.
