- Wash the cucumber. Cut off the ends and slice the cucumber into 12 rounds, each about 1/2 inch thick. If the cucumber is very large, you can remove some of the seeds.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dill, lemon juice, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber slice.
- Top each cucumber slice with a piece of smoked salmon. You can fold or roll the salmon to fit.
- If using, garnish each bite with a few capers and a sprig of fresh dill.
- Arrange the smoked salmon cucumber bites on a serving platter and serve immediately.
Notes
For a different flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder to the cream cheese mixture. These bites are best served fresh.
