Simple Garlic Butter Shrimp

Shrimp
  • 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or thawed
Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes Optional
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper Or to taste

Method
 

  1. Pat the shrimp dry using paper towels. Season the shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the melted butter. Cook for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  6. Serve immediately.
