Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Season the chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. Pour the chicken broth into the same skillet. Bring it to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce gently simmer for about 3 minutes until it starts to thicken slightly.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth. Taste the sauce and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are well coated with the sauce.
  8. Serve the chicken and pasta immediately.

Notes
