Ingredients

For Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
For Iced Coffee Base (Example: Vanilla Latte)
  • 1 cup Strong Brewed Coffee or Espresso Chilled
  • 2 tbsp Simple Syrup Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup Milk Your choice of dairy or non-dairy
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Saucepan

Method

  1. Prepare the Simple Syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. For Iced Drinks: Combine chilled coffee, simple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract in a glass. Stir well.
  3. Add ice cubes to the glass. Stir again before serving.
  4. For Blended Drinks (Frappuccino Style): Combine all liquid ingredients (coffee, syrup, milk) with 1.5 cups of ice cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  5. Pour the blended mixture into a serving glass.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use cold brew concentrate instead of regular strong coffee. If you prefer a less sweet drink, reduce the simple syrup amount or omit it entirely. For whipped cream topping, use heavy cream whipped with a small amount of powdered sugar.
