- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Place an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over the dried chicken thighs, focusing on getting seasoning under the skin if possible.
- Add the olive oil to the hot skillet. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for 5 to 7 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crisp.
- Flip the chicken thighs. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius). Use tongs to check the temperature in the thickest part of the thigh.
- Remove the skillet from the oven. Let the chicken rest in the skillet for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
For extra crispiness, you can briefly broil the chicken for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
