Quick Tuna Patties

Make these simple tuna patties for a fast meal. They are easy to prepare and cook quickly.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) Tuna in water, drained well
  • 1 large Egg lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup Bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Mustard yellow
  • 1/4 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Oil for frying

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Skillet

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, beaten egg, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, mustard, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients gently until they are just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Shape the mixture into four equal patties, about 1 inch thick.
  4. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Carefully place the patties in the hot skillet. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and heated through.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve these patties on buns like a burger or alongside a salad for a lighter meal.
