- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In one bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugar until the mixture is fluffy.
- Mix in the peanut butter until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix everything well.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before moving them to wire racks to finish cooling.
