Servings: 4 chops
Course: Dinner
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

For the Pork Chops
  • 4 Pork chops (at least 1-inch thick) For juiciest results
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil Or neutral oil like avocado or vegetable oil
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar Optional; swap for cane sugar if preferred

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small bowl
  • Meat thermometer

Method

  1. Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar to create the dry rub.
  3. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Drizzle them with olive oil and rub the seasoning mixture evenly on both sides.
  4. Place the seasoned pork chops on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140–145°F (63°C).
  5. Remove the chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. This resting period allows the internal temperature to reach 145°F and keeps the meat juicy.

Notes

For the juiciest results, select pork chops that are at least 1-inch thick. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature; remove the chops from the oven when they read 135–140°F, as they will continue to cook while resting.
