Method
- Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar to create the dry rub.
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Drizzle them with olive oil and rub the seasoning mixture evenly on both sides.
- Place the seasoned pork chops on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140–145°F (63°C).
- Remove the chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. This resting period allows the internal temperature to reach 145°F and keeps the meat juicy.
Notes
For the juiciest results, select pork chops that are at least 1-inch thick. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature; remove the chops from the oven when they read 135–140°F, as they will continue to cook while resting.
