- Place the cut chicken pieces in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the flour over the seasoned chicken and toss until all pieces are lightly coated.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the floured chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and ginger until the cornstarch is dissolved.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the skillet. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked through.
