Total Time 18 minutes
Servings: 4 people
Course: Dinner, Lunch
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Shrimp
  • 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined If frozen, thaw completely
Seasoning and Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon juice, fresh
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Pat the thawed shrimp dry using paper towels. This helps them sear better.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer if possible. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque. Cooking time depends on the size of the shrimp.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the fresh lemon juice.
  7. If using, stir in the chopped parsley.
  8. Divide the shrimp among your meal prep containers. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently when ready to eat.

Notes

For meal prepping, avoid adding too much liquid to the containers. This shrimp keeps well on its own or mixed with cooked rice or vegetables in a separate compartment.
