Iced Caramel Macchiato (Starbucks Copycat)

This recipe makes a cold coffee drink similar to the Starbucks Iced Caramel Macchiato. It is a layered drink made with vanilla syrup, milk, espresso, and caramel sauce.

Ingredients
  

For the Drink
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla syrup Or to taste
  • 1 cup Milk Your choice of dairy or non-dairy
  • 1/2 cup Ice
  • 2 shots Espresso Or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
For the Topping
  • 1 tbsp Caramel sauce For drizzling

Equipment

  • Tall glass
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Pour the vanilla syrup into the bottom of your tall glass.
  2. Add the milk to the glass over the syrup.
  3. Fill the glass with ice.
  4. Slowly pour the espresso shots over the ice and milk. This creates the layered effect.
  5. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the drink.
  6. Serve immediately. Stir before drinking if you prefer a mixed flavor.

Notes

If you do not have an espresso maker, use very strong brewed coffee. Adjust the amount of vanilla syrup based on how sweet you like your drink.
