Ingredients
  

Ground Beef Mixture
  • 1 lb Lean ground beef 90% lean or higher
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Serving Suggestions
  • 1 cup Brown rice, cooked For serving
  • 1 cup Steamed broccoli For serving

Method
 

  1. Heat the large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef to the skillet.
  2. Cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it is browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the beef. Cook until the onion softens, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat. Divide the ground beef mixture among four plates. Serve immediately over brown rice with a side of steamed broccoli.
