Ingredients
  

For the Strawberries
  • 1 pound Fresh strawberries, washed and dried well Ensure they are completely dry before dipping.
For the Chocolate Coating
  • 6 ounces Dark chocolate chips (70% cacao or higher)
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut oil Optional, helps thin the chocolate.

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Place the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted. Do not overheat.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the stem end. Dip the strawberry into the melted chocolate, rotating it to coat about two-thirds of the fruit.
  5. Lift the strawberry out and let any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  6. Place the dipped strawberries onto the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Refrigerate the strawberries for about 15 minutes, or until the chocolate coating is firm.

Notes
