- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Tear the bread slices into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded cheddar cheese over the bread.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread, ham, and cheese.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
- Let it stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can add other vegetables like diced onions or bell peppers along with the ham and cheese. For a richer flavor, use a mix of cheeses.
