Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 cup fresh kale leaves stems removed
  • 1 banana
  • 1 apple cored and chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber chopped
  • 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup coconut water or any preferred liquid
  • 1/2 lemon Juice of
  • Ice cubes optional

Method
 

  1. Combine the spinach, kale, banana, apple, cucumber, ginger, chia seeds, coconut water, and lemon juice in a blender.
  2. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add more coconut water until you reach the consistency you want.
  3. Add ice cubes if you prefer a colder smoothie and blend again until the ice is crushed.
  4. Pour the smoothie into two glasses and serve right away.
