Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 1.5 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into 1-inch thick pieces
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 packet Dry Ranch seasoning mix About 1 ounce
  • 0.5 cup Shredded Parmesan cheese

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Season the chicken pieces with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through.
  3. Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium. Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Whisk in the heavy cream and the dry Ranch seasoning mix until combined.
  6. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Toss gently to coat the chicken completely with the creamy ranch sauce. Heat for 1 minute until the chicken is warmed through.
  8. Serve the creamy ranch chicken immediately over rice, pasta, or with a side of vegetables.
