Easy Banana Bread

Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 large Ripe bananas, mashed About 1 1/2 cups mashed
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large Egg Lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • Loaf pan (9x5 inch)
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix with a spatula until the flour streaks disappear. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter before baking.
