Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
Sauce Flavoring
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For Serving
  • Coleslaw, pickles, sliced onions Optional toppings

Method
 

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Whisk together BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
  7. Season with salt if needed.
  8. Serve the pulled chicken on slider buns or sandwich rolls. Add your favorite toppings.

Notes
