Ingredients

For the Fries
  • 2 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into fry shapes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Large bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary for crispier results.
  4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through the cooking time. They should be tender on the inside and slightly browned on the edges.
  5. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. You can serve these with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before drying them thoroughly and tossing them with the oil and spices.
