  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Honey BBQ Glaze
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat

Equipment

  • Grill Gas or Charcoal
  • Tongs
  • Small saucepan
  • Basting brush

Method

  1. Heat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel. Rub them with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side.
  5. During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush a generous amount of the honey BBQ glaze onto the pork chops. Flip once to caramelize the glaze.
