- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground meat, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
- Fold in the cooked egg noodles gently. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole mixture.
- Top the casserole evenly with the crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown. Let it stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
You can substitute frozen mixed vegetables for the noodles if you prefer a different texture. If you use breadcrumbs for the topping, toss them with a tablespoon of melted butter before sprinkling them on for extra crispness.
