Description
A classic pasta dish that is always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients

- 1 pound pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef with onion until no longer pink. Drain grease.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to combine.
- Pour into a baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Serve with a side salad and garlic bread.
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
