- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 8 large lettuce leaves (such as butter or iceberg)
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts, for garnish
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the turkey mixture in the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Spoon the turkey mixture into the lettuce leaves.
- Garnish with chopped peanuts and fresh cilantro.
Notes
- For a spicier wrap, add more red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute ground chicken or pork for the ground turkey.
