- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (6 oz) french fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook green beans according to package directions until tender-crisp. Drain well.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and black pepper.
- Add the drained green beans to the soup mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with french fried onions.
- Bake for another 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can use cream of chicken soup instead of cream of mushroom.
- If you prefer a creamier texture, add an extra tablespoon of milk.
- Ensure your green beans are well-drained to avoid a watery casserole.
