Description
Prepare these Thanksgiving drinks ahead of time for easy serving on busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 1 gallon apple cider
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice berries
- Optional: 1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Combine apple cider, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice berries in a large pot.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let steep for at least 30 minutes.
- Strain out the spices and orange slices.
- Stir in maple syrup if desired.
- Pour into a slow cooker set to warm or let cool and store in the refrigerator.
- Reheat gently before serving.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, use regular apple cider.
- For an alcoholic version, add 1.5 cups of bourbon or rum before serving.
- This can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
