Salami Mozzarella Eyeballs

Description

A fun and easy Halloween appetizer made with salami and mozzarella.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slices salami
  • 12 small fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), halved
  • 12 pimento-stuffed green olives, sliced
  • 12 thin strips of red bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Place one mozzarella half on a flat surface, cut-side down.
  2. Drape two salami slices over the mozzarella to resemble an eyeball.
  3. Place a slice of olive in the center of the mozzarella to create the pupil.
  4. Use a thin strip of red bell pepper to create an eyelid above the pupil.
  5. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Notes

  • You can use black olives if green olives are not available.
  • For a more realistic look, you can add a small dot of black food coloring to the mozzarella before adding the olive.
