Description
Fun and festive pumpkin-shaped sliders perfect for Halloween parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 8 slider buns
- Butter, for toasting buns
- Optional toppings: cheese slices, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small pumpkin shape, pressing a slight indentation in the center for the stem.
- Cook the patties in a skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- While the patties cook, slice the slider buns in half. Butter the cut sides and toast them lightly in a skillet or under the broiler.
- Assemble the sliders by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your desired toppings.
- Place the top half of the bun on top.
Notes
- You can use a small round cookie cutter to help shape the patties if desired.
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground beef with a plant-based ground meat alternative.
- Add a small piece of pretzel or a thin slice of bell pepper to the indentation to resemble a pumpkin stem.
