  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Stir in the cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese.
