- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chopped nuts, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Once firm, lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use good quality cocoa powder.
- Ensure the brownies are completely chilled before cutting for clean slices.
- Store leftover brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
