Description
A simple and fun Halloween-themed appetizer featuring hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough to resemble mummies.
Ingredients
Scale
- 20 hot dogs
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 egg, beaten
- Mustard or ketchup, for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into thin strips.
- Wrap each hot dog with a dough strip, leaving a small gap for the face. You can crisscross the strips to create a mummy effect.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the dough with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooled slightly, use mustard or ketchup to draw eyes on the mummies.
Notes
- For a spookier look, you can use black edible marker for the eyes.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
