Description

A simple and fun Halloween-themed appetizer featuring hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough to resemble mummies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 hot dogs
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Mustard or ketchup, for decorating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into thin strips.
  3. Wrap each hot dog with a dough strip, leaving a small gap for the face. You can crisscross the strips to create a mummy effect.
  4. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush the dough with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Once cooled slightly, use mustard or ketchup to draw eyes on the mummies.

Notes

  • For a spookier look, you can use black edible marker for the eyes.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
