- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the beef. Stir in red pepper flakes, if using.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook, stirring, until it thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, increase the red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute other types of noodles if desired.
