Description
These mini mummy bites are a fun and easy Halloween treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 16 mini hot dogs
- 16 slices of cheese (provolone or mozzarella work well)
- Mustard or ketchup for eyes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 long, thin strips.
- Wrap each mini hot dog with a strip of dough, leaving a small gap for the ‘face’.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooled slightly, use small dots of mustard or ketchup to create the mummy’s eyes.
Notes
- You can use different types of mini sausages or hot dogs.
- For a vegetarian option, use vegetarian hot dogs.
- Cut the cheese into thin strips to wrap around the hot dogs before the dough for an extra layer.
