Description

These mini mummy bites are a fun and easy Halloween treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 mini hot dogs
  • 16 slices of cheese (provolone or mozzarella work well)
  • Mustard or ketchup for eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 long, thin strips.
  3. Wrap each mini hot dog with a strip of dough, leaving a small gap for the ‘face’.
  4. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once cooled slightly, use small dots of mustard or ketchup to create the mummy’s eyes.

Notes

  • You can use different types of mini sausages or hot dogs.
  • For a vegetarian option, use vegetarian hot dogs.
  • Cut the cheese into thin strips to wrap around the hot dogs before the dough for an extra layer.
