Meatball and Mashed Potato Bake

Description

A simple bake combining meatballs and mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs.
  3. Place meatballs in a baking dish.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until browned.
  5. Remove from oven. Spoon mashed potatoes over the meatballs.
  6. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for another 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can use pre-made mashed potatoes to save time.
  • Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the meatball mixture for extra flavor.
