  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade, 1012 inch round)

  • ½ cup ricotta cheese (optional base layer)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  • 45 very thin lemon slices (seeds removed)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley or thyme

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Red chili flakes (optional)

  • Fresh basil or arugula for topping (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it for 30+ minutes.

  • Prepare Dough: Roll out dough on a floured surface into a 10–12 inch circle. Transfer to a pizza peel or baking tray.

  • Add Base: Spread a thin layer of ricotta (if using), then evenly sprinkle mozzarella.

  • Add Lemon: Distribute lemon zest and thin lemon slices across the top.

  • Season & Bake: Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle herbs, salt, and pepper. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese bubbles.

 

  • Finish & Serve: Remove from oven, top with fresh basil or arugula and optional chili flakes. Slice and serve warm!
