A quick and flavorful recipe for honey garlic shrimp served over rice.

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. If using cornstarch, whisk it with a tablespoon of water and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice. Garnish with optional toppings.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, ensure you use cornstarch.
- Adjust honey and soy sauce to your taste preference.
- You can substitute other grains like quinoa or cauliflower rice.
