Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, sliced avocado

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  6. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and stir to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Serve the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice.
  8. Add your favorite toppings.
