- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, sliced avocado
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Pour the sauce over the shrimp and stir to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice.
- Add your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute chicken or tofu for shrimp.
- Serve with your favorite vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers.
