- 1 cup red lentils, soaked overnight
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Drain the soaked red lentils.
- Blend lentils with water, yogurt, cilantro, cumin, turmeric, and salt until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
- Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can add finely chopped onions or green chilies to the batter for extra flavor.
- Serve with your favorite chutney or sauce.
