- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and tomato sauce.
- Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Serve with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro.
