- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 4 cups sliced apples
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, cottage cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well.
- Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
- Dot the top with the small pieces of butter.
- Cover the pie with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let the pie cool before serving.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, you can brush the edges with milk and sprinkle with sugar before baking.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
