  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, cottage cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Dot the top with the small pieces of butter.
  6. Cover the pie with foil.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Let the pie cool before serving.
