Bite-sized appetizers with a cheesy filling pressed into a dough.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 2 tablespoons ice water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons chopped chives
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the shredded cheese.
- Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough just comes together.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese and chives.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll the chilled dough into small balls.
- Press your thumb into the center of each ball to create an indentation.
- Fill each indentation with the cream cheese mixture.
- Brush the tops with milk.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
- You can add a pinch of garlic powder to the cream cheese mixture for extra flavor.
- Garnish with extra chives before serving.
