Description
A fun and easy recipe for Halloween, these mummy dogs feature hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough with cheese and baked until golden.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
- 8 hot dogs
- 4 slices provolone cheese, cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 thin strips.
- Wrap each hot dog with a strip of crescent roll dough, leaving a small gap for the face.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Use the provolone cheese strips to create mummy eyes. Place two small strips above the ‘face’ gap.
- Serve with mustard and ketchup for dipping.
Notes
- You can use different types of cheese like mozzarella or cheddar.
- For extra spooky eyes, use small dots of edible black food coloring on the cheese strips.
