Description

A fun and easy recipe for Halloween, these mummy dogs feature hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough with cheese and baked until golden.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 4 slices provolone cheese, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 thin strips.
  4. Wrap each hot dog with a strip of crescent roll dough, leaving a small gap for the face.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Use the provolone cheese strips to create mummy eyes. Place two small strips above the ‘face’ gap.
  8. Serve with mustard and ketchup for dipping.

Notes

  • You can use different types of cheese like mozzarella or cheddar.
  • For extra spooky eyes, use small dots of edible black food coloring on the cheese strips.
