- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Rub the mixture all over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan.
- Roast for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, you can increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C) for the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- You can add your favorite herbs like rosemary or thyme to the spice rub for added flavor.
